Reusable swimming nappies are an item we’re really proud to make. We love that they’re planet friendly, we love how cute they are, and we love that they’re made for getting out and about and having fun.

When we met the folks at Pim Pam, we just knew we wanted to work together. They were (and still are!) making beautiful, functional, sustainable cloth nappies, and we just knew that if we held hands and took a dive, we could create the cutest little swim nappies ever.

The water nappies here are designed with just as much thought, care and attention to detail as all the other baby and toddler clothes we make. It’s really important to us that you get maximum use out of our clothes, so we’ve made sure that these nappies will stand swim after swim after swim, and all the washes in between and still be stretchy, soft and supple. And the same goes for the design, all across our collections, we use timeless, classic patterns and prints that won’t look dated or go out of fashion. Our sustainable, eco-friendly swim nappies certainly stand the test of time!

  • Swimming with babies and toddlers

    There’s nothing in the zooniverse we love more than getting out and about with our little ones. Spending time immersed in nature is wonderful for their cognitive, social, emotional and physical development, and nature’s calming effects will mean you’re a better parent too! It’s a wonderful way to build your connection with the little people in your life, spending the afternoon strolling through a forest, cloud-watching from a field, or paddling in the ocean.

    We’ve crafted a range of baby and toddler clothes that’ll keep bubs cool when it’s hot, cosy when it’s not, and that is rugged enough for all of their outdoor adventures. We want to make clothes that’ll take kids everywhere they want to go, be it to the top of the best climbing tree, the bottom of the sand pit, or into the briny blue. Our reusable swimming nappies make swimming with your little one less taxing on our planet, as it won’t mean throwing a plastic nappy away after every swim.

    Our water nappies are nappy and swimmers in one. Our prints are so beautiful there’s no need to wear anything else. We have to say just a swim nappy and one of our baby hats makes the cutest little outfit, but you should really add your favourite baby top for a little more sun protection! The nappies work to contain any messes so you can relax in the water without worrying about any accidents, but they are not absorbent, so they won’t soak up the water and weigh your little one down.

  • How to wash your swimming nappy

    If the prospect of laundering cloth nappies is a bridge too far for you, hold off before you also strike washable swimming nappies off the list with them. They are different from regular cloth nappies. Cloth nappies absorb the mess and so need special washing to make sure they are properly clean and hygienic, while reusable swimming nappies work by simply containing the mess with a snug fit around bub’s legs and tummy. This means they don’t soak up the sea water or anything else, so washing them is not such a big undertaking. After they’ve been used, just rinse them thoroughly and throw them in the wash with the rest of your swimmers.

    Our swimming nappies are made from a recycled polyester shell with a soft and fluffy bamboo terry lining, which means they are durable enough to stand chlorinated pool water or salty sea water - nothing like the healing powers of salt water to soothe a spot of nappy rash! But do keep in mind that because they contain, rather than absorb messes, they won’t work as a substitute for nappies out of water. Just whip off your baby bodysuit and pop on the swim nappy when you get to the beach, and you’re ready to go!

  • WHAT MATERIALS DO YOU USE IN YOUR CLOTHES?

    Our organic cotton is pure and natural, grown without the use of harmful pesticides, synthetic fertilisers, or genetically modified seeds, ensuring it’s gentle on your baby’s delicate skin and kinder to the environment.  

    Our wool is sourced from regenerative and sustainable farmers who prioritise ethical animal welfare and eco-friendly land management. By using wool from such sources, we ensure that our clothing is not only cosy and breathable but also aligned with our commitment to a healthier planet. 

    To further minimise our environmental impact, we use the least amount of washing and dyeing possible in our production process. When dyes are necessary, we opt for low-impact, non-toxic dyes that meet strict environmental and safety standards, ensuring our clothing remains safe for your little one and the world they’ll grow up in. This thoughtful approach helps us maintain the natural integrity of our materials while reducing water and energy consumption.

  • DO YOU OFFER GIFT WRAPPING?

    Yes, we offer gift wrapping. We will send your gifts beautifully wrapped and in a gift bag. There is an option to add this in the checkout.

  • DO I NEED TO PAY TAXES & DUTIES ON MY ORDER?

    For the UK, Japan, EU, Switzerland, Norway, Australia, New Zealand, Kuwait, Mexico, Israel, UAE, Qatar, South Korea, Singapore and Hong Kong - prices are inclusive of all duties and taxes.  

    USA and Canada – prices are inclusive of all import duties and taxes. Local sales tax is calculated on checkout. 

    For all other countries, duties & taxes will be automatically calculated and displayed during checkout. Depending on the country, you will have the option to choose DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) or DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) 

    Please note that if DDU is selected, you will be responsible for paying the required import duties & taxes upon delivery and the shipping carrier may not release the package without payment for import duties & taxes.
