Tell us a bit about yourself and where you live.
We are a family of six, my grandmother, parents, myself, my wife, and our daughter. We live in a small town in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, surrounded by mountains and fields, renovating a house that is over 50 years old.
We cherish our everyday life close to nature, feeling the changing seasons right by our side.
We love the authentic, simple moments of family life that you share on Instagram. How would you describe what an ordinary day looks like for your family of three?
There’s not much that’s extraordinary. We wake up in the morning, feel the sunlight, cook our meals, go out in the garden or the fields, and spend time together as a family.
These small, everyday moments make up our life. We try not to get swept away by busyness, and instead cherish truly savouring the life we have right here, right now.
Are there any daily rituals or small traditions that feel especially meaningful to you?
Spending as much time together as possible at mealtimes, touching the soil and feeling the changing seasons, and saying “Thank you for today” at the end of each day. These are all small things, but they are important habits that nurture our family’s hearts.
At Organic Zoo, we believe in creating a simple, uncluttered childhood for our children. What kind of childhood do you hope to create for your daughter?
I hope our daughter can grow up surrounded by nature. Touching, feeling, and sometimes learning through mistakes. Rather than giving too much, we want her to have a childhood with space to explore, where she can value her own senses and experiences.
We hope she can cherish both quiet moments and lively ones, and find joy in each.
We are passionate about organic, pure produce and love watching you grow your own vegetables and cook as a family. Do you feel that choosing organic, toxin-free clothing is as important as choosing organic food?
I feel this very strongly. Just as the food we eat shapes our bodies, the things we wear also contribute to a sense of comfort and security for both body and mind. Especially for children, I believe it is most important that the materials are gentle and trustworthy.
Are there any pieces from the Organic Zoo collection that feel especially aligned with your family’s way of living?
We really love how Organic Zoo’s items are understated and blend naturally into everyday life. They’re easy to wear in the flow of daily routines, and gentle on both the skin and the heart. I feel they are a perfect fit for families like ours, who value a simple and mindful way of living.
